About BBTC

Our Core Values

The principles that drive our ministries...

1) Journeying Together in Discipleship

Journeying Together
We need to journey together. In BBTC, there is no lone ranger Christian.
When we are together, this is where iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

Our Journey (Discipleship process)
The journey is as important as the destination.
We must adopt an attitude of always learning.
We must posture our hearts and ears to receive. (Proverbs 4:20-23).
We must move from the head to the heart / spirit, i.e. we must move from knowledge to revelation [1 Corinthians 2:9-16]. - Truth is caught more than taught.
Actively applying truths we have caught. This is because truth itself will not set you free, it is the knowledge and application of the truth that sets you free [John 8:31-32, 36].

Our Destination (Discipleship objectives)
2-Key Themes in discipleship
i. Who am I becoming? [Romans 8:29]
ii. Am I fulfilling God's purpose and destiny for me? [Hebrews 12:1] and [Eph 2:10]
The Christian life should be calm, cool, collected, composed, Christ-Centered. [Galatians 5:22-23].

2) Connected & United in our Fellowship

Connected in our Fellowship
We encourage every BBTCian to be part of a Church-in- action Group (CG) and every leader to be part of a Mentoring Relationship (MR).
In CGs and MRs , there should be:
i. Accountability and Covering [Hebrews 13:17]
ii. Prayer and Communication [Eph 6:18]
Leaders need to be diligent to know the state of your flock [Prov 27:23]

Unity in our Fellowship
Unity in the Spirit, not uniformity [Eph 4:3, 1 Cor 12:4-6]
Keep the main thing, the main thing.
No offences [1 Cor 13:4 - 8a] - Love covers over a multitude of sins i.e., we must forgive constantly, seek to engage and resolve issues and relationships in love, to the glory of God.
No condemnation, comparison nor competition but encouragement always.
Unity requires effort, it is not automatic [Ephesians 4:3].
People are more important than programs. Hence friendship takes precedence over function.
As relationships take time and effort, we bond first before serving together to build.

3) Anointed in our Serving

Led by the Spirit, Rooted in the Word
We serve from the overflow of our walk with God.
We can only give of what we have, and we put no confidence in the flesh.
We flow with the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit with the given circumstances and situations.
We hold loosely everything, holding tightly only to God and His Word.

Maximum Participation
We encourage maximum participation with every BBTCian serving in the areas of their calling, gifting and portion.
We want to enlarge the leadership base.[More ACGLs, CGLs, CSs, COs]
We can only serve as much as our capacity. Therefore we seek to grow our capacity [spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, etc].
Faithful in little, faithful in much.
We strive to build depth and extend breadth.

Ministry Principles
We serve with skilful hands and integrity of hearts [Psalm 78:72].
We do not get stuck on methodologies, focus on the principles and be creative [BS, Evangelism, etc].
We always pray before, during and after.
BBTC is larger than any CG / Cluster or ministry. Similarly, the Kingdom of God is larger than the local church.
Spiritual life must flow; it should not be blocked by a person or structure in the group.

Anointed in our Serving
Anointed Worship
Anointed Word
Anointed Altar
Anointed Body-Life
Anointed Works of Faith

4) Delight the Father as True Worshippers

Decide to worship God (2 Samuel 6:16)
You can come to the House of the Lord and miss the Lord of the House.
Intentionally come to worship God, do not be a spectator.

Be a True Worshipper (John 4:23-24)
To worship in Spirit is where the spirit in us connects with the Holy Spirit.
To worship in Truth - coming into the Presence of God with a posture of openness and
surrender, sanctified by the truth of the Word of God.

5) Giving intentionally as unto the Lord

Activate the Laws of Sowing and Reaping (2 Corinthians 9:6)
Seed is for sowing and bread is for our needs.
We need to learn to sow intentionally our "seed‟, combining it with prayer as we give.

Giving intentionally as unto the Lord
Blessed to be a blessing
Be generous. Don‟t sweat the small stuff.
The pipe that carries the water will itself always be wet.

6) Believe and act upon Scriptures

Scriptures are only of value to us to the degree we believe and act upon them.
