The Mellowgreen (MG) Seniors ministry reaches to the
senior citizens in BBTC. Its purpose is to make strong disciples of the
Lord Jesus for the purpose of serving God and reaching out to family
and friends with the Gospel message.
Our purpose statement is: "To build a vibrant Seniors'
ministry where everyone is shepherded, mentored and equipped to serve
God and reach their oikos for Christ."
Our Purpose
1. Operation Andrew where everyone is encouraged to
pray for and share the Gospel with at least one oikos a year.
2. To go through BBTC's equipping programme
3. To use our spiritual gift's to serve the Lord.
Our Structure
For spiritual growth, MG Seniors is divided into cell
groups under BBTC's Church-in-action group (CG). It comprises:
1. Men's CG
2. Ladies' CG
3. Couples' CG
4. Family CG
Our Programmes
1. Mid-week Fellowship (MWF)
The MWF was launched in early 2003 to cater for retirees
and homemakers who have time in their hands. Its programme focuses on
the whole person (spirit, soul and body). Activities include singing
(Christian songs and oldies but goodies songs), a message, line
dancing, board games and not forgetting, food. We started with 15
members but numbers have tripled with many coming from other churches
with their oikos.
Please join us every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month
for a time of fellowship and bonding.
2. Outings/Camps
Our adhoc activities include outings and camps for
Seniors during June and December school holidays. Every year, we also
organize trips to countries in the region to expose our seniors to the
different ethnic and religious cultures. The Seniors have visited
China, India, Vietnam, Indonesia and Cambodia .
Our CGs meet every Sunday between 10.45am - 12.30pm and
welcome visitors to find their place in the bodylife of BBTC.
