Getting Married in BBTC
Download and print the application form and submit them at the BBTC General Office on Level 2. Please apply at least 6 months before your wedding date.

1. ELIGIBILITY
For baptized Christians who are registered members of Bethesda (Bedok-Tampines) Church.Eligible couples must have been involved in one of our cell groups for least 1 year, before applying for a church wedding. At the point of wedding, couple must have completed all sessions of the Pre-Marital Course. Wedding must also be the first for the couple except in the case of a widow or widower.
2. AVAILABILITY OF SOLEMNISER
At the time of booking of church facilities, couples are to arrange and ensure that either Elder Jeffrey Goh or Pastor Jerry Chia will be available to solemnise their marriage. Couples are advised to give early notice so as to avoid disappointment when solemnisers are away on personal matters. Request maybe made via email or personally.
Upon the discretion and agreement between the 2 solemnisers, one will be assigned to solemnise. Choice of solemniser is not the prerogative of the couples but dependent on the schedules and availabity of solemnisers.
Should an external solemniser be appointed, couples are required to inform the church in advance.
3. FACILITIES
Notwithstanding the available time slots, couples to check with church office to confirm that the slots are not taken up by other events on that day.
For Saturday:
1) Chapel: Available time slot: 9am- 2pm
2) Hall 1: Available time slot: 9am- 5pm |
For Sunday
1) Chapel: Available time slot: 2pm-5pm
2) Hall 1: Available time slot: 2pm- 5pm |
For Chapel, please do not throw confetti as this may damage the carpet. |
4. OTHER FACILITIES
Reception may be held at the Hallelujah Quadrant. Caterer is not allowed to set up tables at Hallelujah Quadrant on the night where a corporate event is running, e.g. W&I. This is to free up the HQ for car parking.
5. PARKING & ALIGHTING
Please provide your own traffic controllers. Please reserve the row of car parks fronting Blk 113 for other church users. Any fixtures/chairs used for such reservation are to be removed after use. Alighting along the main road is discouraged as this may pose a traffic hazard. Car marshals to be stationed along main road to redirect traffic.
6. OFFERINGS
To cover miscellaneous expenses pertaining to the use, we shall appreciate a love offering to the church as follow:
1) Chapel/Hall1: $450.
2) Sanctuary: $1000
Cheque to be sent 1 month before the date of wedding. Couples are advised to have their own PA crew to help them with the logistics. Otherwise, where PA crew is needed, a donation of $50/- per crew is to be made directly to the person(s) or to a designated person as advised. PA helpers to liaise with the church's PA crew.
7. CLEANING
Kindly arrange helpers to clean up the premises after use. All rubbish to be deposited into the bulk bins. As such occasion would result in heavier clearance of rubbish from the premises, a love offering of $30 is recommended to be given directly to the church cleaner.
8. REHEARSAL
Couples may book a day/night for their rehearsal. Please ensure the officiating officer can make it.
9. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
Please inform the church office at 6645-0700 should there be any damage to the instruments or other property
of the church.
10. ARRANGMENT & POWER OFF
Please ensure the chapel/hall is rearranged back properly and ready for use by the next users. Kindly also
ensure that all the lights, computers, projectors and air-conditioners are switched off after use.
11. PLEASE DO NOT:
a) Stick on decorations on any wall Consume food and drinks in Hall 1
b) Drive nails into a wall or fixture to suspend decorations Use dry ice or burn candles in Hall 1
c) Remove PA equipment Let caters throw unconsumed food into drain
d) Rehearse or decorate past 10.00pm Let your caterers wash up in the church premises
e) Suspend decorations from any fixture Reposition stage equipments
f) Leave lights and air-cons running after event Leave your wedding decorations behind
g) Removes chairs, tables from Chapel/Hall
12. OTHER EVENTS
Other church-based ministries may be going on immediately after your event. In this regard, to avoid overrun, kindly keep to the time allowed for your use.
13. ROM DOCUMENTS & PROCEDURES
It is the couples' responsibility to check and comply with the necessary requirements of ROM regarding marriage procedures and not that of the church. Couples are to visit the website of ROM for details regarding the filing of marriage notice and the collection of the Certificate of Marriage and others. The necessary documents must be presented on the day of wedding so that solemnization can proceed. |
