We are reminded in Proverbs 17:6 that the glory of children is their father. Indeed, as fathers, we need to ask ourselves, “Are we the pride of our children?” It is only when our children are proud of us will they look up to us as godly heroes and role models. If our presence in the family makes no impact, then our absence certainly makes no difference as well. This sermon urges the fathers to think about their roles in the family, and how they can arise to be the godly fathers that our Lord has called them.
