The Bible teaches that believers are constantly engaged in a spiritual battle. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12). It also warns that a Christian who is unaware of the enemy’s strategies are most vulnerable to spiritual attack and bondage (2 Cor 2:11). Ps William Wood teaches that evil spirits gain influence over believers through agreement, which occurs whenever a believer believes, accepts, speaks or participates in something contrary to God’s truth, therefore allowing a foothold for evil spirits to operate in our lives.
