Jeremiah 29:7 reads, “Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace.” God instructs us to pray for the cities we live in, for the degree to which we experience peace correlates with the peace in our nation. The book of Jonah illustrates God’s mercy, repentance, revival, and the significance of divine grace.
