Jesus tells His disciples in John 15:16: “You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.”
Ps Samuel highlights that this appointment is for every believer, as the spirit of God will be poured on all people – sons, daughters, old and young, male and female servants (Joel 2:28-29). God is raising a generation of fruitfulness that extends to the next generation: the church children (Deut 6:6-7, Deut 6:24-25) and the community children (Matt 19:14, Luke 18:16, Mark 10:14).
As a church, we are called to celebrate and nurture the children in our midst. All God’s people are called to live purposeful lives and bear lasting fruit that reflects His work through us.
