Effective Prayer Part 4

Effective Prayer Part 4

SP Daniel Foo did a recap of effective prayer and the 3 dimensions of prayer where we approach God as Father, Friend and Judge. For our own needs, we come to God in prayer as a Father who loves us and knows the best for us. As we intercede for the needs of others, we approach God as Friend (Luke 11) and Judge (Jeremiah 9:24).

This week, SP taught on the legal grounds that hinder our prayers. Satan is the adversary who brings about a lawsuit against us, before the throne of God (1 Peter 5:8). The Greek word antidikos (ἀντίδικος) is translated ‘adversary’; anti meaning ‘deny’ and dikos meaning rights. He is also the accuser, kategoros (κατήγορος), which means the one who brings a case against someone in the judicial system. The accuser makes a complaint against us in the courts of heaven (Revelation 12:10).

SP covered the primary areas in which we give up legal ground to the adversary.
