Senior Pastor began by sharing the scriptural basis for the Priests and Kings sermon series – “Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons …” Mark 3:14-15.
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are all called to be with Him, share the Gospel, have power to heal and have power to cast out demons.
The focus for today’s sermon is to “be with Him” which is to build an intimate relationship with God. The biblical examples are Enoch (Genesis 5:24), Abraham (James 2:23), Moses (Numbers 12:7-8), David (Acts 13:22) and the early Church (Acts 4:13). God desires an intimate relationship with every believer (Jeremiah 9:23-24, Isaiah 55:8, 1 Corinthians 2:9, John 17:3, 2 Peter 1:2-4).
