DSP Edric Sng opened with a true story of Fanny Crosby who was a prolific hymnist, writing more than 8,000 hymns and gospel songs, including Blessed Assurance and To God Be the Glory. These hymns were written despite the difficulties that she went through. She was blind at six weeks old and lost her dad at six months. She said that she could write these hymns because she knew that she had one great gift – the Lord Jesus Christ – and she was contented. That was her story and DSP Edric encouraged us to think about our story so that we can reach out to others about our Lord Jesus Christ.
