Psalm 127:1 “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.”
Visiting Pastor Benny Ho shared that this Psalm calls us to break out of self-sufficiency and move into complete dependance on God. The phrase “Unless the Lord…”, is a reminder that no matter what we seek to build – our careers, marriages, families or wealth – it will all be in vain if God is not in it. This Psalm cuts through our illusion of control and challenges our pride in self-reliance.
